November...

Its been a while and what a month!!!

The girls have been busy with lots!

We made bandanna's to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House..

We've been sending our signature box of hearts to spread our girl scout cheer , with love and care we send to special people far and near.

We learned to keep safe and be nice and kind, a lesson well learned and to be practiced while on line..

We marched with the crowd for Veterans day, and remembered those who paved the way

We clapped and laughed and tapped our toes while we danced to "Cotton Eyed Joe"

We are currently collecting food to send to families that are in need, we say a prayer at every meal because we are thankful yes indeed!

It is time to show the world we care, and we have time to give and share.

With that,  I am off to do,  a little for me and a little for you!

Happy Thanksgiving friends!

XOXO

Upcoming Events

Looking ahead, we have a few ( some tentative) items set for November.

November 11,2010- Veterans Day Parade, parent participation is requested.

November 09,2010- Meeting: (Tentatively) We will have a guest speaker talking to the girls about Internet safety and cyber bullying.  In these times, it is not just the person physically in front of us that is a can harm you, this workshop is targeted t help the girls deal with a potential "on-line" threat.

We will also have a members from the Town of Hempstead on hand creating a safety kit for each girl.  This program is extremely unique in that the Town Clerk's employees actually take the fingerprints and photographs of the children and both are memorialized in a "Kit" FREE of charge. (It must be noted that there are no privacy concerns, as the completed kit is provided to the child's family and no record of the fingerprints/photographs are retained by the Town of Hempstead.)  These kits will be distributed during the same meeting. Permission slips will be handed out during our October 12th meeting and should be returned the same day.

Thanks,
Jovann
